April 2, 2010: Andy Roddick beat fourth seeded Rafael Nadal 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 to advance to the final of the 2010 Sony Ericsson Open. He will play Tomas Berdych, who beat Robin Soderling 6-2, 6-2.

April 1, 2010: Fifth seeded Robin Soderling beat Mikhail Youzhny 6-1, 6-4 to set up a semifinal clash with Tomas Berdych. Berdych defeated No. 10 seed Fernando Verdasco in three sets. In Women's matches, Venus Williams beat Marion Bartoli in the semifinals. In the other semifinal match, Kim Clijsters beat Justine Henin 6-2, 6-7(3), 7-6(6).

March 27, 2010: In a shocking defeat on Day 5 at the 2010 Sony Ericsson Open, third seeded Andy Murray was upset by American Mardy Fish 6-4, 6-4. Big serves at key moments in the match helped Mardy Fish defeat the Australian Open finalist Murray. With this loss, Murray will drop to No. 4 in the ATP rankings that will be released next week. Mean while, top seeded Roger Federer won his opening round match against lucky loser Nicolas Lapentti 6-3, 6-3. In other matches, fifth seeded Robin Soderling, seventh seeded Marin Cilic, No. 9 seed Fernando Gonzalez and No. 10 seed Fernando Verdasco also advanced to the third round.

Fourth seeded Victoria Azarenka beat Alexandra Dulgheru and wild card entrant Justine Henin beat fifth seeded Elena Dementieva. March 23, 2010: Gisela Dulko, Sorana Cirstea and Lucie Safarova are among the first day winners at the 2010 Sony Ericsson Open in Miami, Florida. Dulko beat Olga Govortsova 6-4, 6-1 to advance to the second round. Sorana Cirstea defeated wild card entrant Michelle Larcher De Brito 7-5, 7-6(9). Kaia Kanepi lost to Lucie Safarova 7-6(1), 4-6, 3-6. Vania King and Ashley Harkleroad are also among the first round losers on Day 1. Vania King lost to Shuai Peng, while Harkleroad lost to Alicia Molik.
