Day 5

February 12, 2010: Top seeded Vera Zvonareva reached the semifinals of the PTT Pattaya Open 2010 defeating fifth seeded Sybille Bammer 6-0, 7-6(5). Zvonareva raced away to the second set winning all the six games in the first set. She took the second one in a tie-break. Zvonareva will play fourth seeded Yaroslava Shvedova in the semifinal. Shvedova beat Tatjana Malek 7-6(4), 6-1 in her quarterfinal match. Tamarine Tanasugarn and Sesil Karatantcheva also advanced to the semifinals on Day 5.

February 11, 2010: Vera Zvonareva, Sybill Bammer advanced to the quarterfinals, while third seeded Vera Dushevina lost in her second round match on Day 4.

February 10, 2010: Second seeded Sabine Lisicki lost in her second round match against Tamarine Tanasugarn on Day 3. Third seeded Vera Dushevina, fifth seeded Sybille Bammer advanced to the second round, while fourth seeded Yaroslava Shvedova advanced to the quarterfinals.

February 9, 2010: Top seeded Vera Zvonareva beat Ksenia Pervak to advance to the second round. Fourth seeded Yaroslava Shvedova and eighth seeded Julia Goerges also advaced to the next round.

February 8, 2010: Second seed Sabine Lisicki, Anna Chakvetadze and Chanelle Scheepers advanced to the second round of PTT Pattaya Open 2010 on the opening day.
