Andy Murray is a professional tennis player from Scotland. He is currently ranked World No. 4 and is the highest-ranked British player since Fred Perry. Murray reached a career-high ranking of World No. 2 on August 17, 2009 and remained in that position for two weeks till August 31, 2009. He entered into the top 10 in ATP rankings for the first time on April 16, 2007.
Andy Murray is a runner-up at the 2008 US Open where he lost to Roger Federer. He reached the semifinal of Wimbledon 2009 where he lost to American Andy Roddick. At French Open, he is a quarterfinalist in 2009 and he reached the fourth round of Australian Open twice in 2007 and 2009.

Wimbledon 2010
A semifinalist at Wimbledon last year, Murray was seeded No. 4 in the tournament. He defeated Jan Hajek 7-5, 6-1, 6-2 in the first round. He beat Jarkko Nieminen of Finland, Gilles Simon and Sam Querrey to reach the quarterfinals where he will play No. 10 seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France.
