Nadal to face Federer in the finals of Madrid Open

Rafael Nadal survived a scare from Novak Djokovic in the semifinals of the Madrid Open. World No. 1 Nadal rallied to beat Djokovic 3-6, 7-6(5), 7-6(9) to reach the finals. He will play World No. 2 Roger Federer who beat Juan Martin del Potro 6-3, 6-4 in the other semifinal. The win for Rafael Nadal is his 33rd straight win and his seventh final this season. Nadal will be favorite for the match against Federer. Rafael Nadal has won the last 5 matches against Roger Federer including French Open, Wimbledon and Australian Open.

"What's important for me is to get past that semifinal hurdle that I haven't been able to get past in the last couple of months," Federer said ahead of their 16th meeting in a final. "I feel like playing him anywhere is a challenge. The extra flair here is that it's in Spain."
