Venus Williams defeats Dinara Safina to reach Wimbledon 2009 Finals

Five time Wimbledon champion Venus Williams defeated World No. 1 Dinara Safina 6-1, 6-0 in the semi-final match of 2009 Wimbledon to make her way into the finals. In an awesome display of perfection, Venus Williams crushed the Russian 6-1, 6-0 while her sister Serena struggled to win an epic three set thriller in the first semi-final on the same court.

The fact that Safina won only the sixth game in the match shows how good Venus Williams is on the court today. The final of the Wimbledon 2009 Women's Singles will be another family affair as she faces sister Serena Williams. Serena earlier beat Elena Dementieva in a three-set thriller.
